- describe what they are aimed at

tuning:

what should be compared?
- effective pressure
- hydrograph
- total volume of water in system
- lumped metrics vs spatial metrics
no spatially varying parameters
what are the goals?
time frame?
how should we name it?
this will define standard test runs for now and in the future
